What I Wore Wednesday

Today I am: 17 weeks

Hi guys! Welcome to "What I Wore Wednesday" - I'm not sure if this will be a weekly thing, but it's got great alliteration and I liked my outfit today so wanted to share it with you! I'm feeling a bit OTT - all I'm doing today is housework and then going to the doctors but it's sunny and I'm fed up of wearing my jeans! As much as I love my maternity jeans, they've started to really make my belly itch and it is not the most flattering thing when you're walking down the street. Glamorous, huh?

Ignore the terrible background, the only blank wall we have has this ginormous radiator right across it, but you can still see my outfit! The dress is from Republic a good few years ago (does Republic even exist anymore?); it's a bandeux style dress so no straps which is why I've got the jacket over top from Primark. I can't wear anything strapless because my boobs are too big; they were big before getting pregnant and now they're out of control to tell you the truth. You can't quite see the extent here because the dress is squashing them down!

Face wise, all I have on is my Illamasqua Skin Base in 02 (yep, the first colour that isn't pure white...I'm that pale), Sleek Blush in Rose Gold; Bella Pierre Mineral Foundation in Cafe as bronzer; GOSH eyebrow pencil in 03 Grey Brown; GOSH Defining Brow Gel (clear); Rimmel Scandaleyes Flex mascara in 001 Black and Michael Todd lipstick in Angel...That looks like a lot when it's written down but I've got my makeup application down to less than 10 minutes now which for me is great because I like taking my time over it.

And finally...
A bit of a bump shot! I wanted to take the photos in front of my lovely Tulips (from Lidl no less, at £2 a bunch you can't go wrong) but it was horribly back lit. Every time I look at my bump from the side in the mirror it doesn't look very big, but it looks huge here! I think the camera might be lying a little bit!

Thanks for reading guys and I hope you enjoyed this post! I just want to quickly give a mention to another lovely Pregnant Blogger - Rebecca aka MrsMeldrum on twitter and youtube. She's so lovely and her videos have been great to watch! She's only a couple weeks ahead of me so it's been really interesting hearing about her experiences! You can find see her most recent video here http://youtu.be/xbbDEcSau2Y or follow her on twitter @MrsRMeldrum

See you next week!

The busiest time | Fairy's Tales

Today I am: 16 weeks 1 day

Well I haven't posted in just over 2 weeks, there are a few reasons; firstly me and Lee moved into our new flat on the 29th of March and we had no internet for a while and the 3G signal around here is dire...whilst we have internet now the connection is still slow, but that's what you get for living out in the country. I'm loving the new place though. I can relax so much more here, I don't have to share a bathroom with 3 disgusting men (it's just the one now) and my kitchen sink doesn't have rice and cheese and all sort of other shit blocking the plug hole!! It's a miracle! Plus, let's just have a look at what is less than 100 metres from our front door

Yup, that was taken yesterday on my walk back from the town centre! So gorgeous, and it's actually quicker to walk home along the beach than it is to walk through the houses. Perfect...well it's perfect until the tide comes in and you get stranded which is what happened on our 2nd day here and we went for a walk that took a bit too long.

The second reason that I haven't posted is because 4 days after we moved in I actually went back to Plymouth for my niece's first birthday! Literally the best thing ever, I got to spend pretty much all day with her and the majority of the day after as my sister and her husband drove me back to Somerset. I love my niece more than anything and I miss her so much being away from her. She's turning into a proper little lady and her personality is brilliant. She's the funniest little thing, she's always trying to make people laugh. Her newest trick is to just say "moo" when you ask her what noise a sheep makes. She knows it's baa but I think she got bored so she just moos now, then looks at us with a cheeky smirk like "ha, I know what sound sheep make but I'm not going to tell you"

There's not really much to update on the baby side of things...I think I'm getting a bit of a belly but then I was eating birthday cake and pizza and burgers last week so maybe it's just a bit of chub! I've got my 16 week appointment on Monday (another ball ache in itself, trying to make it earlier but I just gave up in the end! I'll still technically be 16 weeks on Monday anyway)

Thanks for reading and I will see you next week!

First Trimester | Symptoms and lack of!

Today I Am: 14 Weeks
So as I briefly mentioned in my first post I have suffered from little to no symptoms in this first trimester, and as so many people say the 2nd trimester is where everything starts to calm down so but the looks of things I may have gotten away with it!

Now that's not to say I haven't experienced anything at all; about two weeks ago I woke up and left it a little bit too late before getting myself breakfast, (the woes of living in a shared house and having to make yourself slightly presentable before you rock up to the kitchen!!), I started to feel a bit funny and queasy. Sure enough as soon as I got out of bed I had an overwhelming urge to be sick, ran to the loo but of course...you can't throw up on an empty stomach! So that was that. I went and ate some cereal and felt fine! My one tip for any pregnant mummy's, eat whenever you feel hungry! Don't wait...don't feel stupid for wanting a snack, and don't listen to people if they tell you not to eat what you want. If all you can think about is Indian food, get some! As long as you aren't eating anything dangerous don't be too harsh on yourself!

The only other side effect I've had is a pain in my left side, not a constant pain but as I've described to Lee and my sister it feels like a headache in my side. It's not the same as a stomach ache, there's no feeling sick it just aches. A bit like a stitch but less stubby. So I promise you, if you're feeling this it is just your ligaments stretching. Mine started as early as 6 weeks which is crazy considering your tiny baby is so little, but it's just your uterus getting ready and making room; your body knows what it needs to do straight away even if it is your first pregnancy. Of course, I googled this pain and 80% of the advice was telling me that I had an ectopic pregnancy. If you are experiencing agonising cramps and pains that are stopping you doing day to day activities go to your doctor. Google is your enemy in the first weeks of pregnancy!

It is the most worrying time and when you have no distinguishable symptoms, I don't know about you, but I did think the worst and I was so paranoid thinking that if I wasn't being sick or feeling knackered 24/7 nothing was working properly. Alas my little monkey was there, with it's feet up, little heart beating and s/he even gave us a little wave!

I'm also on Bloglovin now so click on the button to the side to follow me over there so you never miss a post!

Little Fairy Bump

<a href="http://www.bloglovin.com/blog/11973885/?claim=7gqx6xremy4">Follow my blog with Bloglovin</a>
Good morning everyone!
As some of you may know from Twitter I am expecting a little baby! I'm currently 13 weeks 1 day - which for those of you who want things in months, that's 3!
I wanted to start this blog because the last 7 weeks have been a nightmare of worrying for me.
I have suffered absolutely no pregnancy symptoms at all, no tiredness, no sickness, none of the typical "First Trimester" woes that so many women suffer; and it's been hard! I have looked everywhere for blogs and vlogs from mums that have had the same experience as I have and I couldn't find anyone at all. Everyone I have come across has complained about nausea and an overwhelming exhaustion and I really haven't had it at all.

It's been scary, especially when you hear people say that the sickness just means that everything is working away and it proves your body is working; as a pregnant woman who hasn't experienced it, that is the last thing you want to hear! So I've decided to write this blog about my experiences, there must be so many mummy's to be out there that are going through the same thing as me, and a tiny bit of reassurance is something we all need when our emotions are a little bit more heightened than normal!

So this is my first little introduction, and hopefully I will get weekly posts up and I'll try and make it not so mummy all the time!

Anyway that's all for this post, I will leave you with a picture of my little monkey chilling out!
